You're naturally concerned about the wellbeing of animals rehomed from your care, and as part of that you'll most likely carry out home checks to make sure the animal is going to a good home.

What is Dual Registration?

Dual Registration helps extend this care by allowing you to register your own contact details as an alternative contact on the database.

This includes a full address and telephone number, and once set up, can be an automatic addition for every electronic MicroChip registration and re-registration. This might then be used where the keeper contact details are out of date, to assist with reunification or where there are behavioural / medical concerns that need to be traced back.

Please Note: This will not mean that you are automatically alerted when a pet is found, but may be given to the finder so that they have the option to contact you in addition to the listed keeper. There is no guarantee that the finder will contact you, but it may help them with reunification. Additionally, a registered keeper may choose to replace these details with their own alternative contact.
