The VetXML Consortium is a committee of organisations which are involved in and around the veterinary
industry and are seeking to produce a set of common data formats to enable an easier change of information.
In the case of MicroChip Registration, AVID led the way and was the first UK Pet MicroChip Database to enable this service; The MicroChip
Registration schema allows veterinary practices to instantly register pet MicroChips in just a few clicks.
The VetEnvoy service is a "hub" with which the veterinary practice software communicates with the organisations receiving the data.
The pet MicroChip information is securely sent to the VetEnovy servers and trasmitted to the UK PETtrac Database, allowing the pet to be instantly registered.
