Equine Identification using the AVID MicroChip Products
The Horse Passport Regulations have been updated, which now includes the mandatory MicroChipping of foals when a passport is issued.
MicroChipping of horses and ponies has always been used as a method of permanent unalterable identification, and this is further increased with the change in regulations.
The MicroChip must be implanted by a veterinary surgeon, as stipulated by the RCVS.
